Internal No. 1

Internal No. 1 belongs to a group of 2025 works Billy Kasberg titled Internal: on August 17, 2025 he posted this canvas on Instagram as "Internal," and the same day posted Internal No. 2 through Internal No. 6.

In the first-person biography on his profile at Arte Laguna World, Kasberg writes that he is "extremely interested in microbiology, specifically viruses, bacteria, fungi, and internal bodily processes." "To me, the internal beauty and conflicts of microorganisms mimic our human lives," he continues: microorganisms and people alike move, gather food, feed on other life and "live in complex environments."
