Billy Kasberg is a painter. In March 2026 Yucatán Magazine described him as Austin-based and dividing his time between Texas and Mérida. His Instagram profile, where he calls himself a "visual artist inspired by what cannot be seen," gives Mérida, Yucatán, as his base. According to the magazine, he came up through the fine arts program at the University of North Texas and later deepened his practice at The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria.
The magazine described his paintings as dense, layered acrylic compositions in which human anatomy, microbiology and the forces of nature dissolve into one another. The same article names among his influences India, the tribal art of Papua New Guinea and the textile traditions of the Kuna people of Panama, and notes his use of pattern and repetition. It illustrates Blue Life (2020), an acrylic on canvas measuring 121 by 121 centimeters.
In August 2025, according to the magazine, he had his first solo exhibition in the Yucatán, presented by Alcala Galerie in Mérida's Colonia México. In November 2025 his acrylic Hydra, 80 by 80 centimeters, was offered in El Arte por la Educación, the silent benefit auction for Impulso Universitario, a Yucatán civil association based in Mérida that gives university students monthly support and training. In March 2026 Yucatán Magazine reported a new exhibition of his work at Anónima Bistro in Colonia México, the second collaboration between Alcala Galerie and the restaurant. An archived copy of the gallery's website from June 2026 lists him among its artists.
